Welding centre for gearbox parts

For the Mercedes A class, gearbox parts (shifter forks for all clusters) are produced by welding.

 

Particularly challenging for the water-cooled pre-welding and finish welding fixtures are the required dimensional precision and alignment of the operating surfaces. The fixtures are mounted on a rotating and tilting table with drives that provides additional robot axes to produce the optimum welding machine.

The various shifter forks are pre-processed in a pre-welding assembly and then completed.
